Today in ckass the students were given time to work on a packet with various activities about the country of Haiti. Any work they did not complete in class needs to be completed for homework.

Today in class the students were given time to work independently on several assignments. Anything they did not finish should be completed tonight at home.

Students need to examine the food products in the kitchen and find items that contain the different corn-based ingredients. The student in each class that finds the most items will receive a prize.

Today in class the students began working on their review packet for the unit test on the Arab-Israeli Conflict. They should complete the remainder of the packet at home, using their notes and handouts to help them. We will be playing a review game on Thursday, February 7th and then take the unit test on Friday, February 8th.

Today the students were given a news article about the Palestinians continued struggle to become an independent country. They should read the article and complete a minimum of five "talking to the text" points.

Students should complete the first page of the design sheet, where they plan their introduction paragraph. They should use the "T" chart created in class to help them.

Tonight's assignment is to create your avatar in order to participate in the "Silk Road Rescue!" game. Details for this game can be found by clicking the "Silk Road Rescue!" tab at the top of the page. Use the worksheet below to design your personal avatar.

The students have been tasked with interviewing three adults to ask their opinions on the war between the United States and Iraq. See the instructions attached below.
